The Hampshire United SC/Amherst Soccer Club of Amherst, New Hampshire cordially invites you to our 30th Annual Memorial Day Classic Soccer Tournament. Drawing over 300 teams from around New England, we are committed to hosting the highest quality event for players and their families; and will once again limit the number of participants in order to ensure that a maximum level of competition is provided on the best quality fields. Tournament filled up last year. Be sure to register early to avoid being put on a wait list.

Girls and Boys U8-U19 teams accepted. Age groups and divisions are dependent on the number of applications received in that age group and division. The Tournament retains the right to combine age groups if needed. Click here for age chart.
We will offer the 7v7 format for boys and girls teams U8, U9 and U10. Each team will play four (4) games – 2 on Saturday and 2 on Sunday. Groupings and divisions will be determined by number of teams registering in each bracket.
Each player will receive an award for participation. Coaches need to pick up medals at headquarters on Saturday or Sunday.
We will offer the 9v9 format for boys and girls U11 and U12 and the 11v11 format for boys and girls U13, U14, U15, U16, U17, U18 and U19 teams. There will be a minimum of three (3) games (played on Saturday and Sunday) for all teams U11 and above playing 9v9 or 11v11 with the potential for playoffs on Monday. If a grouping has an odd number of teams, one team will play 4 games (the fourth game will not count towards the team playing four games standings but will count for the opposing team playing their third). Groupings and divisions will be determined by number of teams registering in each bracket.
Each Winner and runner-up in each competitive category, will receive an award on Monday following the championship game.
Saturday and Sunday, May 27th & 28th, with playoffs for competitive divisions on Monday, May 29th.
Tournament will be played at Souhegan High School in Amherst, New Hampshire and surrounding fields.

Maximum Roster size:
- 7v7 teams is 16 players
- 9v9 teams is 18 players
- 11v11 teams (U13-U14) is 18 players
- 11v11 teams (U15-U19) is 22 players (Only 18 players will be allowed to dress per game)
5 guest players are allowed per team. State approved roster for team they play for, player card (U11 and above), and medical release form must be provided at team check in for all guest players.
Non-Competitive Divisions (U8-U10): Double rostering is allowed in the same age group and subdivision.
Competitive Divisions (U11-U19): Double rostering is allowed in the same age group. However, players may not be rostered on more than one team in the same age group subdivision. Sub-division is any division in which the two teams may play against each other regular tournament play and/or
playoffs.

7v7: Games will consist of two twenty-minutes halves without a break at half-time. Players on the field will immediately switch ends and play will resume with no substitutions.
9v9: Games will consist of two 30-minute halves with a five-minute break at half time.
11v11: The preliminary games will consist of two 30-minute halves with a five-minute break at half time. Monday 11v11 playoff games will be 35 minute halves with a five-minute break at half time.

Please make checks payable to the Amherst Soccer Club and attach to the signed Tournament Rules of Conduct after completing the online application and mail to: Amherst Soccer Club, PO Box 853, Amherst, NH 03031.
The fee is forfeitable if you do not play or withdraw after acceptance. If your team is not selected, your fee will be returned.
The tournament Co-Directors reserve the right to cancel the tournament should inclement weather or other unforeseen events result in conditions that are hazardous to the participants or the facilities. Entrance fees will be equally assessed for the costs incurred by the tournament committee and balance returned to each team.
Entry Deadline
Application Deadline has been exteded to 4/25/23. Register early for we did have a wait list last year. Final acceptance will be made on or about April 30, 2023 and upon receiving registration fee. Team rosters and player releases are not required for submitting an application. It is recommended that applications be submitted as soon as possible. When accepting applicants, the date the application and the check are received is taken into consideration. No team will be scheduled for any matches until the full amount of the entrance fee and a signed copy of the Tournament Rules of Conduct form is received by the tournament registrar.
Team Check In
All teams must check in and register prior to the tournament. Details on registration will be sent out in April. The following documents must be presented: a state approved team roster, coach’s code of conduct, player cards (U11 and above-state approved roster with pictures is acceptable), tournament medical release form for each player (only tournament medical release will be accepted) and a permission to travel for out of region teams. Rules of Conduct
Tournament Rules of Conduct will be strictly enforced to allow the players to play the game fairly and without interference. All coaches are required to sign the rules form and agree to abide by these rules. A club representative signing the TRC on behalf of the coach assumes the responsibility of ensuring that the coach receives and accepts the TRC.
Patch/Pin Tournament
This is a patch/pin tournament for U8-U12 teams. All players will exchange patches or pins with players of the opposing teams following each game. Please remember to bring enough patches or pins for the number of games your team will play (including potential playoffs). If you do not have team patches, any soccer related item is acceptable. U13 and above will not exchange patches unless the team wishes to do so.
